French Dressing (Base Recipe)
This recipe is from a cookbook titled Salad Lover's Cookbook, printed in 1979. This sounds very good, on my to make and taste list. This is the Base Recipe and is used to make a number of variations.
Ingredients
- ¾ cup vegetable oil
- ¼ cup lemon juice, or cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- ¾ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon paprika
- ¼ teaspoon dry mustard
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Place all ingredients in a screw top jar, a Mason jar would be perfect, cover tightly and shake vigorously to blend well.
- Store covered in the fridge until used.
- Shake well before use, pour on your favorite salad, enjoy.
