Onion Soup Mix
Shortcut to make Onion Soup Mix.
Ingredients
- 2/3 cup dried minced onion
- 3 teaspoons dried parsley
- 2 teaspoons onion powder
- 2 teaspoons tumeric, optional
- 1 teaspoon celery salt
- 1/2 teaspoon salt, OR 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
Instructions
- Add all ingredients to a jar and give it a good shake. Shake the jar before each use.
- Use 2 to 4 tablespoons of mix in place of 1 packet of onion soup mix.

Perfect, just made the mix,,,Then made onion dip with the mix and Creme’ Fraiche which I made as well. I probably added another 1/3 cup of the dried onions to make the the dip…Thanks

You certainly can, but keep in mind this is a make ahead mix, so if you want to use fresh onions, add those those to taste appropriate with the amount you are making.
Can you use fresh onions instead of powder and dried onions?
