This comes from a good friend, and sounds excellent! I can imagine the taste of the shrimp. On my to cook list. Remember the most important part is just pink shrimp, if over cooked result is tough shrimp, important if using large shrimp. I will list steps for fresh and frozen shrimp.

  2. Add the shrimp to the steamer basket in layers, sprinkling with Old Bay and black pepper between the layers.
  3. Cover the steamer pot and bring to a boil.
For Frozen Shrimp
  1. Once the liquid is boiling, set a timer, 15 to 18 minutes is your target time, goal is all the shrimp pink. Mix the shrimp in the basket once in a while. Larger shrimp will be more time.
For Fresh Shrimp
  1. Once the liquid is boiling, set a timer, 10 minutes is your target time, goal is all the shrimp pink. Mix the shrimp in the bask once in a while. Larger shrimp will be more time.
When the Shrimp are Done
  1. Dump the shrimp to a large tray, serve with cocktail sauce, tartar sauce, an adult beverage (for adults), and enjoy!
Recipe Notes

I will price this when I get shrimp again. I will say fair cost for now.

This is an Israeli bread salad, and sounds delicious! On my to cook list. This does call for the use of toasted pita bread, if in a pinch, regular sliced bread, toasted, should work ok. Link to the shortcut is listed in the Recipe Notes section.

Instructions
  1. Dredge the chuck roast in flour, salt, and pepper to taste, and massage it into the meat.
  2. In a skillet on a very high heat, brown the meat on all sides in the canola oil to create a crust.
  3. Transfer the meat to a Crock-Pot and top with butter and pepperoncini. Cover the slow cooker and set it to Low setting.
  4. In a small bowl, mix the mayonnaise, vinegar, dill, and paprika until well combined, open the slow cooker and spread this over the meat, cover, and cook on low for 8 hours.
  5. Remove the roast and shred with two forks, then return the meat to the slow cooker, and stir to mix in the juices. Serve garnished with fresh parsley, and sides of your choice.
Recipe Notes

Beef will run about 150 Baht/kilo, large cities should be able to get a chuck roast, out of the way places, like where I am at, I will try this with just 1-2 large chunks of beef. 300 Baht for 2 kilos would be about $1.47 per serving.

Pork ribs run 135 Baht/kilo, you would need about 200 Baht worth of ribs, all the rest is minimal. For 4 people this is about $1.50 per person, for 6 servings this is about $1 per person, overall, a good price.

Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 190 C, rub just a bit of olive oil on the inside of the baking dish, then line the bottom with the onion slices.
  2. Combine all ingredients but tenderloin; coat tenderloin well with sauce, and place on top of the onions in the baking dish.
  3. Roast in the oven at 190 C for 20-30 minutes, basting occasionally, until meat thermometer registers 65 C, followed by a 3-minute rest time. Slice thinly to serve. Mashed or boiled potatoes and a green vegetable would be perfect for this dish.
Recipe Notes

Pork tenderloin is about 160 Baht per kilo, or 2 pounds. This recipe would be 80 Baht for pork, which comes out to about 60 cents each for 4 people/servings.
